When comments and attitudes shared in one's online life translate into negative exchanges with clients and neglect of work duties, the truth must be aired.

This is not an attempt to slander or shame an individual. People are free to engage in whatever online activity of their choosing so long as it does not cause harm to another individual. The reason for this post is to show you the character of a staff member employed by Promises to work with a vulnerable group of women seeking help for mental health issues.

The nurse pictured below, aka Singlesinderella, worked for Malibu Vista throughout its entire first year. She confided in clients about her own struggles with food and dieting - which may have felt like a welcome act of authenticity for some - but then encouraged these same clients with similar histories of eating disorders to 'diet and be skinny' if that's what helps them feel good, as it does for her. Such "professional advice" is not healthy. This is not what a mental health professional/psychiatric nurse tells women who are already questioning their self-worth. Clearly, the nurse needs help and support herself, and that is okay. What is less permissible is Malibu Vista's decision to expose clients to this sort of triggering person whom they have placed in an authority position. The nurse needs help. Many staff at Malibu Vista need help. They may have graduated from Promises Treatment Center for substance abuse but they do not possess the stability and good judgment to be working with a vulnerable population at this time.

Click below for the nurse's public profile she titled:

If you are on the job, be professional.

Don't jump in the backseat with your bestie, Dr. Stuchell, for a selfie just outside of the treatment house when you are supposed to be meeting with clients. Better yet, don't then post it online with the description: "being our usual rebellious selves on the job." along with hashtags like: #hotdoc #whosyourtherapist #sexynurse #dichotomy #gotmilk #gotmilf #milf #doubletrouble #doweeverwork
